To get this achievement you must fish up a Giant Sewer Rat from The Underbelly waters of Dalaran.

- As is stated, you can only fish up the Giant Rat from any fish-able waters in The Underbelly, which is the sewer area underneath Dalaran. There is a glitch at the fountain next to Marcia Chase, the NPC that gives you the fishing dailies. Apparently, if your bobber lands on the outer edge of the Dalaran Fountain, or outside it (yes it does happen) you will get the Underbelly fishing loot table, and can possibly fish it out there.

- Theoretically, you can be a fishing skill level 1 and try and fish for the Sewer Rat, though it will be super hard to get it due to the fact that you will most likely catch junk and lose catches due to the low level. I’d recommend a fishing level over 450 to make this quicker, but there have been reports of people as low as skill 200 catching the rat. Either way, go for it, you never know with the RNG, and if you are low level you can always use that area to skill up!

- There are plenty of rumors on which areas are “best” or “luckiest” to catch the Giant Sewer Rat in the Underbelly, but in the end there have been reports that it has been caught in all fish-able waters in the Underbelly. Don’t give up if you don’t catch it right away, some people have cast over 2000 times before they caught it.

- You will receive the achievement as soon as you fish up the Rat, not when you learn it.

- Aside from benefiting your “fish this # of items” achievement, fishing for the Giant Sewer Rat also benefits your pet collection achievements like Lil’ Game Hunter
