This is not a long quest chain, but it does require that you do some traveling, and you might have to put on your PvP/competition hat in some parts of it since plenty of people will be doing it around the same time.
Finishing this quest chain will require that you are minimum level 30 due to level restrictions on some of the quest giving.
To help your frustration level go down while doing these quests, I believe it is better to do it during off-peak server hours or towards the end of the Winter Veil event because less people will be trying to do these quests at those times.
Doing this seasonal quests also helps you with other achievements like Loremaster since they count toward your quest count.
SIMPLY ABOMINABLE QUEST LINE
◘ Stolen Winter Veil Treats
- Pick this quest up from either (A) Macey Jinglepocket (Ironforge 33,67.6) or (H) Kaymard Copperpinch (Orgrimmar 52.6,66.3).
- To complete this quest you must find a Strange Snowman, which can be found in Alterac Mountains around (35.2,72.1).
- Alas! the Snowman doesn’t have the Stolen Treats..but he knows who does.
◘ You’re A Mean One…
- Strange Snowman will start you on the follow-up quest, which requires you to kill The Abominable Greench.
- He doesn’t have one sole spawn location, but he more often can be found by the cave in Alterac Mountains (39.3,68.9), though he roams all snow covered areas with Yetis in Alterac.
- Since competition to get him will be high and he has 3 different spawn points, getting him will be hard, I recommend spamming this macro (by user
BlackCat):/target [nodead] The Abominable Greench
/cast [instant spell]You can also try making a group out of all the people camping him so you all get credit and can watch each other’s backs against opposing faction stealing the kill, though he does instantly re-spawn but still competition is high.
- Once you kill him loot him for the Stolen Treats.
- Head back to either (A) Macey Jinglepocket or (H) Kaymard Copperpinch to turn in quest.
◘ A Smokywood Pastures’ Thank You!
- Once you are done turning in the last quest, the same NPC’s you turned it in to will refer you to go speak with either (H) Great-father Winter (Orgrimmar 52.5,69) or (A) Greatfather Winter (Ironforge 33,64.5).
- Speak with the Great Father to complete the quest and to gain the achievement.

Most excelent help. Thanks so very much. A little note: At least in my realm, respawn rate is crazy-fast. And the greench must be claustrophobic, I keep finding it outside, behind the ruins.
